Today I celebrate your birthday
On a date I chose for you
For no one knows the actual day
This world was blessed with you.

It seemed only fair that you should have
A day marked separately
Than that special day you rescued us
Your Benniversary!

And so I chose the 10th of June
A birthday you could share
With my beloved Grandpa
Who loved me beyond compare.

He gave me strength, he gave me hope
A harbor in my storm
It seemed likely you would share the star
Under which he was born.

My little boy who makes me laugh
And guarantees I'll smile
Who gives me reasons to stay strong
And makes everyday worthwhile.

I thought my heart would never open
After I'd locked that door.
Now everyday it amazes me,
I love you more and more!

So while we call today your birthday
And honor this special date
Everyday with you, Benoni,
Is a reason to celebrate!
